Well wouldn't you know it, another 2 months have passed and I'm not here to post about a sewing project. On Christmas eve this year I said goodbye to my last surviving grandparent. She was 91.
I'm back to work tomorrow and it hardly feels like another year has passed. If there is one thing I have taken away from the funeral it's not to just watch the world slip by, we are not here forever.
Clara, I am so sorry about your grandma. There are just some things chocolate and tea won't fix; time and letting your feelings be what they are will help you find where you need to be. Please know you're in my quiet times. This was my first visit to your blog--I kept clicking on links and here I am. Glad I found you. :) I like fashion mavericks. Many blessings, Fran
I am truly sorry to hear about your grandma, especially with her passing at this time of year. My thoughts are with you and your family.
"If there is one thing I have taken away from the funeral it's not to just watch the world slip by, we are not here forever." - That sounds like a great lesson to learn.
Take care, my dear. I hope life gets less hectic and much better for you. x
Just a girl with a sewing machine and a penchant for the 18th century. Not content to make costumes for one-off special events and for swanning around at home in, I re-cut the 18th century for my modern day wardrobe.
I take the silhouette of the era and translate that into clothes I can and will wear anywhere, anytime.
Yes I wear stays! Yes I wear petticoats! Yes I wear frills and flounces and fabrics which really belong on armchairs. That's half the fun.
Clara,
